Carpenter – Marine
Location: Umm Al Quwain, UAE
Department: Carpentry
Reports To: Carpentry Supervisor
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operates stationary power tools, hand power tools and hand tools.
- Layout, cut and assemble parts such as doors, paneling, boxes, rails, and trim.
- Performs joinery work on vessels to fabricate and fit bulkheads, ceilings, windshield, windows, furniture, cabinet, desks, trims, handrails, cap rails and any other marine related joinery work.
- Install prefabricated and/or custom parts such as hatches, marine hardware, metal trim and other parts.
- Knowledge of woodworking joints.
- Erect or dismantle structures, repairs, or refinishes walls or panels.
- Construction of ship parts and frames, structural assembly and repairs, the finishing of ship surfaces, and inspections of finished crafts.
- Able to interpret marine vessel work orders and plan projects to include developing a bill of materials to complete the project.
- Working with a variety of materials, such as wood, fiberglass, and aluminium.
- Study plans and architectural drawings.
- Measure and cut materials to the right size and shape.
Civil Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and oversee construction projects (e.g., roads, buildings, accommodations).
- Perform site assessments, surveys, and inspections.
- Develop and maintain project timelines and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients.
- Prepare reports, proposals, and technical drawings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Relevant work experience (internships, projects, or professional roles).
- Professional Engineering (PE) license (preferred).
