Male, August 2016 – Gulf Craft’s CEO, Erwin Bamps, had exclusive interviews with Raajje TV and Channel 13 during his recent visit to the Gulf Craft shipyard in the Maldives.

In these interviews, Bamps proudly announces the 15th anniversary of the Gulf Craft shipyard in the Republic of Maldives. Since its establishment in 2001, the Gulf Craft Maldives shipyard has manufactured over 1,000 boats.  The monthly production of this facility is over 50 boats per year on average.

Bamps addressed the increasing and changing demands of the Maldives boating market in terms of levels of comfort as well as implementation of new technologies. Bamps also mentioned Gulf Craft’s plans to expand its shipyard to increase its manufacturing capabilities to meet increasing demands and to have the capability of building luxury vessels in addition to its line of utility vessels primarily used in the transportation industry in the Maldives.

Bamps shared Gulf Craft’s long term goal of training the Maldivians in boat construction and service, implementing new technologies and manufacturing processes in its shipyard and expanding its export capabilities.
